Assignment 2:  Analyzing and Dividing

     Fire.  Heh, heh, heh.   Well, anyways.  What I expect you to do with this assignment is to begin the essay writing process.  You will take a topic, decide if it is a question of Fact, Value, or Policy;  One you have completed that task, you are to choose your three main reasons supporting your answer to the question (Usually that question is either "why?"  or "How come?"); finally, I want you to choose one of those three reasons (all three if you're feeling industrious) and write a fully developed body paragraph supporting your reason.   Now, here's the kicker.  I want you to do this for FIVE topics that you pick at random from either the list of Regents' topics I gave you in class, or the two (one or two) sample topic lists on the 1102 class web page.

Remember to FULLY DEVELOP those paragraphs and double space your final draft.

Got it?  Good.  Proofread your first draft, then type it up on a computer and put that typed draft in my mailbox in Bond 248.  No, you can't email it to me because I can't print it at a hotel.
