Assignment 3:  Vividness and Clarity

  Your assignment, should you choose to accept it Agent (insert your name here) is to prove to me that you can write an essay of such startling clarity and stunning vividness that you allow me the chance to live inside your sking, if only for a moment.  Now, some of you are already groaning, "Oh, (insert name of appropriate deity here), not another (insert profanity here) essay.)  But, I have tried to feed your creative and intellectual spirits by giving you topics which should allow you great latitude in which to find your muse, as it were, this time.

Remember, as always, to type and double space your essay.  Take time with and show pride in your work.  Spend some time with this one.  You just might surprise yourself, and remember that each body paragraph (usually three) needs a concrete example.

Here are the topics from which you can choose:

1. What is the stupidest thing you have ever done?  Explain.
2. What is the most frightened you have ever been?  Why?
3. Have you ever seen or experienced something that you could not explain?  How did it change your life?
4. Is there something (other than your family, a family member, Jesus or some other deity, love, country, or money) for which you would gladly     give your life?
