Directions:  Choose one of the following four topics and write a three to five (body) paragraph essay addressing that topic.  For this essay, take as long as you need to make certain that you write using the correct format and fully develop the essay using concrete examples.  Be sure to fully develop each body paragraph.  Be sure to utilize standard grammar and punctuation.  Correct spelling and proofreading are also expected.  Take time with and show pride in your work.

 

Write legibly, in ink.  Please double space so that I have room to write corrections and comments on your paper.  You are expected to use a dictionary.  Please do not use “white-out.”  Once I have graded and returned your work, save this and all drafts of all papers you write in this class for your portfolio.

 

Finished essays should be turned in to my mailbox in the English office in room 248 of the Bond building.  If you can’t find it, just ask for Ms. Sharpe’s office.  They are due by the day I return.
