This is simply a sentence that ties up the end of the paragraph by reminding the reader how the subject of this topic fits into the argument established by the preview.

It is as simple as writing:

"As you can see, "Atom Ant" was one of the top three cartoons of my childhood."

Now, if you are writing looooong essays (a hundred pages or so) turn them into someone else to grade (just kidding).  If your essays are long, you will need some sort of transition to show the reader that they are being moved from one main body section (in longer works, the body paragraphs become body sections) to the next.  This serves two functions in that it reminds them of the main arguments and serves to move them along intellectually.  Such a transition link might look like this:

"Atom Ant" was just one of the three most important cartoons of my childhood; another critical 'toon was "Scooby Doo."
