• Received $24,000 Faculty Research Grant from National Endowment of the Humanities.  Grant comes from the "Extending the Reach research Program for Faculty Research at Minority-Oriented Institutions."  Research project:  Collection and Analysis of Black Comic Strips:  1920 - 1960.
