"What the Bleep" Do We Know" continues our discussions of reality. It is also a test of your critical thinking and perceptual skills. The film extends the virtual mental matrix argument to physics and neurology as well as spirituality..
Literary Visions 21/22 "Setting and Staging in Drama" and "The Language of Drama" are award-winning documentaries by the Annenberg Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
"The Day the Earth Stood Still" is , by most accounts, the greatest Sci-Fi film ever made. I'm including it here because the film, using very little in the way of on screen "spectacle" creates a great deal of conflict and tension in the audience.
Link to the script.
Film Four: Literary Visions 23/24 "Myth and Symbolism in Drama," and "Theme in Drama." are more award-winning documentaries by the Annenberg Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Film Five: Orson Wells' masterpiece: "Citizen Kane.". set the modern standards for film-making and drama for the twentieth and twenty-first century. Pay careful attention to how Point of View is constructed, and camera angles are used to create setting and emotion as well as character. Also watch how Wells masterfully uses symbolism. Considered by most critics to be the best American film ever made. |
