  1. Manuscript- Reading the text directly from the page to the audience.
  2. Memorized- Memorizing the entire text, delivery and non-verbals included.
  3. Impromptu- Completely off the Cuff
  4. Extemporaneous- Delivered from limited notes.

VERBAL DELIVERY

  1. Rate
  2. Pitch
  3. Volume
  4. Pause
  5. Vocalized pause/filler
  6. Articulation
  7. Pronunciation
  8. Fluency

NON-VERBAL DELIVERY

60% of meaning..especially emotional meaning communicated non-verbally. It is continuous communication. It expresses meaning that we may not be able to approximate verbally. Non-verbal communication is learned and is Culturally based.

Types:

Use a note card as an extension of the hand.

Remember, the podium is a non-verbal barrier between you and the audience as well as between your message and the audience. The podium prevents you from making contact with them and it blocks off a large chunk of your non-verbal messages.
